Annual Roseway Cleanup is coming!

The annual Roseway Cleanup will take place rom 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Glenhaven Park, NE Siskiyou Street and 82nd Avenue. This community event is a great opportunity to clean out your garage and support your neighborhood at the same time. We will accept METAL, YARD DEBRIS, WOOD WASTE, ELECTRONICS, BULKY WASTE and TIRES.

Suggested donations are $10 per carload, $15 per truckload, $20 per large truckload, $3 per tire and $5 per tire with rim.

Please note: We will NOT accept paint, chemicals, batteries or other hazardous waste.

The crowd-pleasing YOU PRICE IT area will also be back this year. Donate your reusable household goods to the community and give them a new home. Then, enjoy shopping for bargains!

To make this event a success, we need more than 75 VOLUNTEERS. Come join the fun! The volunteer shifts are 3 hours long and scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m., 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Shift leaders and volunteers are needed for: Yard Debris/Wood Waste; Metal; Bulky Waste; Greeters/Cashiers, Traffic Control, Plastics, You Price It, and Rebuilding Center. As an added bonus, all volunteers get to bring a load to the cleanup for free, get first pick at the You Price It tent, and receive complimentary refreshments. Several volunteer spots are still needed and we look forward to seeing you!

Roseway Cleanup coming June 1 (Updated with Location)

The hugely popular Roseway Cleanup will take place again this year, on Saturday, June
1, 2013 from 9am to 3pm.  The cleanup will be located at the Glenhaven Park, main parking lot at 82nd Ave and Siskiyou.  This is a great opportunity to clean out your garage and support your neighborhood at the same time! We accept many kinds of materials and do our best to recycle, resell, or donate as much as possible, though please note we cannot accept electronic items or hazardous waste such as paint cans.

In order to make this event a success, we need over 75 volunteers. The volunteer shifts are 3 hours long, and scheduled from 8am – 11am, 10:30am -1:30pm, and 1pm – 4pm. Shift leaders and volunteers are needed for: Yard Debris/Wood Waste; Metal; Bulky Waste; Greeters/Cashiers, Traffic Control, Plastics, You Price It, and Rebuilding Center. Along with helping your community, getting some exercise, and bonding with your neighbors, all volunteers also get to bring a load to the Cleanup for free, have first pick at the You Price It tent, and can enjoy drinks and snacks on us. Several volunteer spots still need to be filled from 8am to 4pm, particularly during the 1 pm to 4 pm shift.

Roseway Cleanup Coming Soon!

The hugely popular Roseway Clean Up will take place again this year, on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Rose City Nazarene Church (7016 NE Sandy Boulevard) from 9am to 3pm.  This is a great opportunity to clean out your garage and support your neighborhood at the same time.  Funds raised from this event will go toward putting on Roseway’s very first “Concert in the Park” which will take place on July 28th at Glenhaven Park…stay tuned for more on that!

In order to make this event a success, we need over 75 volunteers.  The volunteer shifts are 3 hours long, and scheduled from 8am – 11am, 10:30am -1:30pm, and 1pm – 4pm.  Shift leaders and volunteers are needed for: Yard Debris/Wood Waste; Metal; Bulky Waste; Greeters/ Cashiers, Traffic Control, Plastics, You Price It, and Rebuilding Center & Teen Challenge.  As an added Bonus, all volunteers get to bring a load to the Clean Up for free, get first pick at the “You Price It” tent, and receive complimentary refreshments.  Several volunteer spots are still needed to be filled from 8am to 4pm, particularly during the 1 p.m to 4 p.m. shift.

GET INVOLVED! If you have been looking for a way to get involved in our neighborhood, but don’t have a lot of time to commit, this may be the event for you! Volunteers needed! Shifts are 3 hours long and scheduled from 8am – 11am, 10:30am -1:30pm, and 1pm – 4pm. You are welcome to sign up for more than one shift. Shift leaders and volunteers are needed for: Yard Debris/Wood Waste; Metal; Bulky Waste; Greeters/ Cashiers, Traffic Control, Plastics, You Price It and Rebuilding Center & Community Warehouse. As an added bonus, all volunteers get to bring a load to the Clean Up for free and get first pick at the You Price It tent.
